Trays can be covered with an eco-friendly food grade (safe), NON TOXIC, water-based sealant, however this does add a bit of shine to the tray itself (wont be matte).
I can add this sealant for you to ensure less stains occur, just send me a message or add a note when ordering.
As each tray is handmade, no two are exactly the same.
Water rings or spots can occur from sitting water or soap. Concrete is a porous material. If trays are sealed, sitting water or soap can still penetrate the material and leave spots.
ECO-Friendly Packaging:
I use a combination of honeycomb packing paper, crinkle paper, kraft boxes, twine, biodegradable paper and packing peanuts as a void fill/cushioning which keep pieces safe in transit and are great because not only are these items recyclable but they also reduces material use, which in exchange reduces the energy consumption in order to produce it.
